Why will my magazine be a success?
I believe my magazine will be a success due to its focus on new inspirational artists rising up in the industry and new take on modern day celebrities appeal to a individualist target audience as well as the mainstream readers. The idea behind my magazine was to influence aspires and let people know about upcoming stars rising to fame within the music industry. this quite large target audience will allow the magazines popularity to spread vastly over a short period of time. The nature of the magazine will also allow reader to post their comments and share thoughts and opinions about new artists rising up in the Modern rock community this helps create a sense of belonging in the reader as they begin too feel like an involved member in the society that "SMASH" magazine will form I believe this is the most effective way a magazine can run Therefore it will create a new method in which the consumers share their views help producers and artists with valid contributions ,giving them feed back and how they could become more successful, this would also be incredibly important to the growth of the genre.

Another reason in which I believe my magazine will become a great success is due to its value for money, "SMASH" will offer tons of exclusive new and feedback sparking off a revolutionary way in how modern rock is depicted in society by the use of connotations and iconography within the magazine. Therefore "SMASH" will be an extremely important asset and 'tool' to those within and without of the music industry. Thus my magazine will be a great success due to its connection with the audience, feedback method, great exclusive information to those in the industry and those who wish to get involved and finally it's incredible content.

Q magazine is a popular music magazine which is published monthly in the United kingdom. The magazine is currently being published by a German publishing company known as 'Bauer Media'which is based in Hamburg whilst having fifteen firms in other countries around the world. This particular edition of 'Q' is clearly representing connotations of the Rock genre as a whole through the use of many factors such as the Model used on this front cover demonstrating imagery of Danger, Violence and Aggression. These themes are expressed by the repetitive use of the colour red and expression on the models face, this hateful expression is then exaggerated by the use of 'fire spitting' in which the band in concealed creating imagery of a dragon or possibly the devil.

Rock magazine moodboard.
Above is a mood-board in which i am using to gather research above the genre as well as the target audience. Through the use of this research i can understand a deduce that my target audience is mainly constructed of individualists and trend setters this is due to the violent and somewhat 'Gothic'nature of the genre, exploring themes of aggression and anger.
